Leaving downtown after a party, and got stopped here at almost 4am. Traveling eastbound on terminal, you get to a bridge that you can't see over. Once you mount that slope you'll be greeted by the cops before the intersection of Clark. No where to run. Avoid terminal if leaving downtown. Asked for license, questions on how many drinks consumed, and also a breath test.

It was set up in both directions (north & southbound).
Was leaving the Cat & Fiddle @ 10:45pm
asked the usual questions like were you're coming from?
have you had anything to drink? ...and how much?
then explained about the breathalyzer, once i blew completely, it came up with "WARN" and i was told i could have a second blow into the device, but there was a chance it could read "FAIL"so i declined.
My passenger was told that they could drive the car home if they blew into the device, which she did and got a "PASS" despite she also had been drinking. After i received te "IRP" ($200 monetary penalty) we left, however the officer didnt even check to see if she had a valid drivers licence...

Sometimes under the Quayside overpass on Columbia Street in New Westminster there is a road block. This one is sometimes seasonal but easy to avoid; when there is a road block here, avoid anyways. This roadblock usually farms for your money, meaning they will write you a ticket if they can for whatever reason.

A favorite location on E41st between Fraser St. and Knight St. in front of Memorial South Park. This location has little visibility because of the hills on both ends of the park. There are many other roads on the street with an equal amount of "chase cars" ready at every point.

Usually one police car checks randomly motorists driving from west Vancouver to north Vancouver or going on Lions Gate bridge. It was set up there last week. Usually police are waiting for people going from Oceans club. There is a second road block right before the Lions Gate Bridge (going toward downtown). May be there once a month or so.

When you come off bridge and there's nowhere to go they make everyone blow or show a license. There is no probable cause needed, they just assume you're guilty until you are proven innocent.

9:15 PM Jul 30 2011 - Surprise! The quiet little village of Anmore got its first roadblock tonight on the "Road of Wealth", East Road, both lanes, East & West were stopped. I usually answer all the questions before they ask "Yes I have my license and insurance with me, no I haven't been drinking" then the officer usually asks where I'm coming from or where I'm going to which I simply answer, "the store" - Keep it simple Sam- and off I go.
