Puliski St at Clayton St / Downtown

Clarke County, Georgia

All vehicles stopped for a safety and DUI check, State Patrol, Athens-Clarke Police, UGA Police, and several others working this large road block. Drug dogs on scene. Hard to see until its too late due to hill and buildings blocking the view. Very close to the downtown bar scene. If you plan on drinking downtown take a cab, cops are everywhere in Athens at night.

East Campus Road at River Road/UGA Campus

Clarke County, Georgia

All vehicles in both directions are checked for drunk drivers only. Usually well over 40 officer from the University of Georgia Police and the Athens-Clarke County Police.

Lumpkin Street at Carlton Street/UGA Campus

Clarke County, Georgia

All cars stopped, mostly a DUI check point. Usually at least 40 UGA and County Officers. Also a drug K-9 is used. Several chase cars to get the people who turn around.
