Sherriff's deputies and state police love to sit here and troll for seatbelt violators. If you see a cruiser sitting when approaching the state line, don't cross it without having your seatbelt on.

After US Ccustoms agent asked if I had been driking (my stupid reply 2 drinks) , I was directed into the arms of the police (over 8 officers from various municipalities) , sobriety check and arrest resulted. I was marginaly over the limit. Occured 2 weeks before Thanksgiving 2002.

This is a new US Border Patrol hot spot, (25 miles inland or less is deemed constitutional for unwarranted searches). When it got too busy some cars were waived through unquestioned. Only in operation one day as of this registry, and the newspapers have stories covering locations and times.
