I-44 & Sugar Tree Road

Phelps County, Missouri

Phelps County sherrif sets up signs and flares on the eastbound lanes announcing a drug checkpoint ahead. They then stop almost every car using the sugar tree road exit. The pattern over the last 6 months has been EVERY Tuesday evening from about 4pm until 10 or 11. Ignore the signs, stay on the highway, there is no drug checkpoint on the interstate.

This Missouri roadblock was added to the Roadblock Registry in August 2006.
