Dayton, Ohio

They definitely flashed their bright flashlights into your vehicle and asked all passengers for identification. They wanted to see if the passengers had any warrants for arrests.

Checkpoint announced for May 16th. I have not been through it.

Madison Rd North of US 30

Wooster, Ohio

Wooster police, OSU campus police, State Patrol and Wayne County Sheriff cooperate on these roadblocks to "educate" the public about drunk driving and to let them know "they are always on the lookout". This forced detention and reeducation reminds me of North Korea, not the US. According to the paper, during the last 8 pm-midnight roadblock, police stopped (illegally) 229 vehicles, searched (illegally) 29 of them and arrested one person for impaired driving.
