Main Street/403 & Upper James-Wellington access

Hamilton, Ontario

All vehicles stopped. If you try to duck around the block, ie: take a side street away from the road block, there are usually other police cars positioned for people who do this.

This Ontario roadblock was added to the Roadblock Registry in October 2010.

On Ramp on highway 417 Westbound at Pinecrest

Ottawa, Ontario

Set up here a couple times weekly. Ontario Provincial Police checking for seatbelts. Quick way for them to hand out $110 fines.

Riverside Drive, at Windsor city limit

Tecumseh, Ontario

The Tecumseh police force setup this to nab Windsor Casino patrons. Most US citizens crossing this roadblock will be arrested as well as Canadians not from local area. If youb pass breathalizer they will arrest you as refusing. Danger, no constitutional rights protesting you here.

404 Southbound at Steeles/Woodbine overpasses

Toronto, Ontario

Mainly used to nab speeders (this area is populated with Chinese, Filipino and Indian kids with dressed up imports), seatbelt violators, and passing on the shoulder. It causes traffic, and onetime in this traffic. I edged onto the shoulder to see what was causing it. Yup, $105 fine for "passing" on the shoulder. Almost 95% chance of being there AM Rush hour (I use same route every day)
