information about this roadblock or notes on roadblock encounter: |
| Set
up on the only entrance road to Thousand Hills State Park. It is
set up several times during the summer months to harrass visitors
to the state park. It is not that great of a park and the lake is
patrolled by the local "Boatin' Barney Fife". I suggest that the
park and lake be boycotted as the State uses it as bait to catch
the unsuspecting in any criminal activity they can find.. |

information about this roadblock or notes on roadblock encounter: |
| This
was part of a media blitz condemning the widespread presence of
methamphetamines in the community. All media outlets conspired with
every law enforcement agency including the local university's police
force to intimidate drivers for one day. The media blitz included
threats from a state patrolman that warned that if you are breaking
any law, they will find you through the use of the roadblocks. Have
a great day, Comrades! Your papers seem to be in order, THIS TIME! |

EVERY Tuesday evening from about 4pm until 10 or 11. Ignore the
signs, stay on the highway, there is no drug checkpoint on the interstate.

game who had partied after the game. Blocked a key route from the
stadium area and I-44, I-55. Talked to a cop who said this was a
small checkpoint manned by 6 officers who caught 4 DWI suspects

information about this roadblock or notes on roadblock encounter: |
| St. Louis
county police set up stopping cars going westbound on Watson. It
is set up right as you leave Shrewsberry and enter Marlborough (by
Rothman's Furniture). I've seen them set up there 3 times within
the last 2 years. I assume they are looking to stop people headed
home from the city since it has bars open later. K-9s are aways
present, but not always out of the police car. I was detained 30
minutes beacuse I refused to tell the officer where I was going.
They also set it up, so when they get you out of the car, an officer
drives your car to the side of the road. I guess this is a way for
them to get an officer in your car and look around. |

to some friends that go down there, just about anytime there is
an event at campzoe - there are roadblocks surrounding the perimeter.
There were 7 Highway Patrol officers cars in the middle of the (oversized
turn lane). It looks like theres a similar roadblock between Salem
and Eminence as well. |
