I encountered this roadblock in Jan. 2006 around
11pm right after watching the BCS national championship game.
I was traveling west on Moore's Lane and had crossed Franklin
Rd. and was headed up into the hills on Lynwood Way (moore's lane
turns into lynwood). As I approached the top of a hill I suddenly
had to stop because of all the backed up traffic. I made a U-turn
and avoided having to go through the checkpoint.

information about this roadblock or notes on roadblock encounter: |
| These
are often found between Union B Rd and Muddy Pond Rd. My wife and
I own wooded property up there. Last summer we traveled individually
a few times in separate cars. Sometimes I was the car in the line
stopped, and she allowed through without stop. Other times she was
stopped and I allowed to go on without a stop. She was always asked
about her marital status. It also seems to roll along up and down
the road, and from one area of the county to another. Though here
it is fairly common. |
