Lacey's Spring, Alabama Roadblocks

I saw this roadblock already on the system, but they encountered it at two in the morning on a Saturday. Mine was 9 pm on a Thursday. Not a lot of good reasons for that which I can think of.

This is often a route taken by persons leaving clubs in Huntsville after 2:00 a.m. It was around 2:30 on a Saturday night when I encountered this roadblock. The Morgan County deputy was very nice and respectful and checked my license, tag and insurance registration. However, I assume they were looking for persons DUI, which I am sure they have a lot to deal with on this road at this time of night. Of course, my car was in top shape, all my paperwork was in order, I wasn’t speeding, and I was respectful…but their attitude might have been different otherwise. I don’t know how frequently they have this roadblock…I have never encountered it before..
