Sobriety checkpoint stopping all south bound traffic. I had an old fashioned and a glass of wine at dinner approximately two hours previous (before Christmas shopping after dinner). I told him I had a been drinking and the extent of my drinking. He said he could smell alcohol on me. He offered to pull me out of my car. Never even asked for my drivers license. I blew .02. or so he said. I was advised I need to take anger management course. Just lie to our good men in blue. you don’t know when his long evening turns into a longer evening for you. His probable cause would be his repeated statement that I smelled like alcohol. Similar to the “I smell pot” line they have been known to use.
