Atlanta, Georgia Roadblocks
6:15pm, at least 5 police cars, checking license and tags. Seems to be increasingly more frequent in same spot, always at same time.
Cops have set up a ‘drivers license check’ when you turn onto East Lake Blvd. from Glenwood or are coming towards that intersection from the other direction. The cop who looked at my license also advised me to ‘remove any valuables from my car so that my window isn’t smashed in’. Unnecessary and unwarranted advice. I’m not sure how long it will be there for.
I went through the road block about 9:50 am on 2/2/2013. Several police were set up and had blocked the street so traffic would flow only through one lane. They stopped all traffic on the road. I was told it was a drivers license check. I was asked for my drivers license, and they checked for my tags.
Roadblock consisted of four squad cars, officers stopping cars headed north and south along Oakland Dr. Roadblock lasted for about 10 minutes from 8:55pm to 9:05pm. No one arrested.
Road block in between northside dr and howell mill sunday mornings around 11 am. check for expired license and tags
