Gwinnett County, Georgia Roadblocks

All lanes of hwy shutdown headed towards gwinnett county east. needed your drivers license was at 12 pm christmas eve morning dec 2011.

Aprx. one dozen police cars with a paddy wagon arresting those travelling north on Sugarloaf parkway. Around midnight after the Foo Fighters concert ended at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.

This was a major event 40+ police vehicles, two govt panel trucks unmarked, road block was set up on both sides of a divided hwy. Officer said this was in responce to recent article regarding Gwinnett as the #1 area for the operations of the Mexican drug cartels.

They have a motorcycle set up just before you see the roadblock, he gets your speed with a laser then when you come around the corner IF you were speeding or IF he saw that you had no seat belt on the officers wave you to pull over otherwise everyone goes through without being stopped. Also had a drug dog on scene to sniff only the cars that were already stopped. Was all Gwinnett County Police.
