Shamokin, Pennsylvania Roadblocks
Annual DUI checkpoint mid Aug. Fri or Sat. night in Coal Twp. Twp police cars are sitting on either side. I got asked where I was going, license and reg., and if I had anything to drink-which I declined to answer(I had nothing alcoholic). They had my license for over 5 minutes as I waited. The cop asked me to put my window down all the way. I remained silent, he then tried to open my car door-which I previously locked. They asked me to get out of the car-which I did-then told me I couldn’t leave it in the middle of the road. An officer then moved it to the side. After another 15 minutes of standing by the roadside with out of jurisdiction officers I was let go.
