Newark, New Jersey Roadblocks
This Road block (police horse) is placed on the entrance/exit of a community of familys. We have to lift it, move it over whenever we exit or enter. The fire department is inparticular and other essential services are hampered. I am trying to find out whose idea it was to set the Road Blocks up at key entrances. So that I can address the source.
I observed this roadblock from my apartment; I did not drive through it. The roadblock was labeled "ROAD SAFETY CHECK POINT" by a sign in the median. This is the first time I have seen a roadblock in Newark. In a couple hours of observation, I have seen a handful of cars and a utility van towed. Taxis and buses seem not to be affected by the roadblock.
